The Fèvre family have been prominent in Chablis for over 250 years. In 1998 Joseph Henriot picked up the torch and installed an inspired winemaker, in the form of Didier Seguier. Since then, the wines from Domaine William Fèvre have become the benchmark for classic Chablis.

Located between Valmur and Blanchots, Les Clos is well exposed to the sun ensuring optimum levels of sugars and phenols in the grapes while retaining the fresh, racy acidity that Chablis wines are famous for. It arguably produces the best example of balanced Chablis.

    Philosophy

“Style is an empty shell. Wine’s potential lies in its sensual response. For Chablis, this is derived from its terroir, which creates freshness and minerality.” The aim is to reveal the true characteristics of each climat (vineyard). The domain uses 6 years old barrels rather than new oak, in order to preserve freshness and minerality and enable the subtle nuances of Chablis’ terroirs to fully express themselves.

    William Fèvre’s Wine

The William Fèvre range covers five of the seven Chablis Grand Cru with Bougros, Les Clos, les Preuses, Vaudesir and  Valmur, eight of the seventeenth 1er Cru Village including Fourchaume, Les Vaillons and Montmains and, a  Chablis, Petit Chablis and Sauvignon de Saint Bris.
