Champagne Duménil: A Grower’s View of the Montagne de Reims

June 2 @ 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Tuesday, 2nd June 2026 | 3pm to 4pm | Rutland Room, Royal Over Seas League

Join us for an intimate masterclass hosted by Frédérique Poret-Duménil, the fifth generation at the helm of Grower House Champagne Duménil in Chigny-les-Roses. Founded in 1874 by Emile-Paul Duménil, the house is today guided by Frédérique, the creative force behind the blending, whose deep viticultural knowledge brings out the individual character of each plot. All wines are 100% Premier Cru, grown across 8 hectares divided into 45 parcels, spanning the four villages of Chigny-les-Roses, Rilly-la-Montagne, Ludes and Sacy. Production is small, keeping each cuvée rare and precise.

This tasting follows the story of the house through six champagnes, each one a different lens on what makes Duménil unique:

Duménil Noirs de Montagne Extra Brut Premier Cru (Montagne de Reims terroir, Pinot Meunier-led)
Duménil Blanc de Blancs Premier Cru (100% Chardonnay, rare in the Montagne de Reims)
Duménil Réserve 27 Premier Cru Multi-Vintage (the house signature blend, one-third of each grape, complex multi-vintage)
Duménil Millésime 2018 Premier Cru telling the story of the vintage
Duménil Millésime 2008 Oenothèque Premier Cru x Duménil Millésime 1982 Oenothèque Premier Cru

Places are limited. Click here to register interest.
