Wine School: Vive Le Vin – A Journey Through France
Join us for an afternoon of French wine, an exploration of the regions, traditions, and timeless styles that have shaped the world of winemaking.
From the superbly refined wines of Burgundy and the precise, terroir-driven whites of Alsace to the structured, age-worthy reds of Bordeaux and the distinctive, expressive wines of the Rhône Valley, this guided tasting will showcase a thoughtfully curated selection of classic French regions. Each wine reflects the character of its origin, shaped by soil, climate, and generations of winemaking tradition.
Our wines come from small, family-run producers who work exclusively with Davy’s, domaines dedicated to careful vineyard work and authentic expressions of their terroir.
As you taste, we will share the stories behind the regions and grape varieties that have defined France’s winemaking legacy, offering insight into what makes each glass unmistakably French.
Hosted at Davy’s Mug House, tucked away beneath London Bridge, you’ll sip and savour in truly unique surroundings. Brimming with character, the bar is filled with antique curiosities and historic wine artefacts collected over decades.
Over the course of this one-hour tasting, you’ll sample a thoughtfully curated selection of six French wines, uncover the stories behind the regions, and gain insight into what makes each style distinctive. Santé!
