MENU & TASTING WINES

On Thursday 14th May, we are delighted to welcome Steve Kirkham, Ambassador for Gusbourne Estate, to Davy’s for a masterclass and dinner dedicated to the wines of Gusbourne.

Hosted outdoors in Vintners Yard, Greenwich, the evening will begin with a guided tasting showcasing a selection of Gusbourne’s sparkling wines. This will be followed by a specially prepared four-course dinner, thoughtfully paired with further wines from the estate, including selections from the still range.

About Gusbourne
Gusbourne Estate is one of England’s finest producers of premium sparkling wine, based in the rolling countryside of Kent. Founded in 2004, the estate has played a key role in elevating the reputation of English wine on the global stage.

The vineyards are planted primarily with Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier, the classic grape varieties of Champagne, well suited to England’s cool climate and long growing season. Gusbourne’s approach focuses on meticulous vineyard management and low yields to achieve precision and purity in the fruit. In the winery, traditional methods are used for sparkling wines. Following a welcome glass of 2022 Gusbourne Brut Reserve to liven up your palate, Steve will introduce the estate, sharing its history, location and winemaking philosophy. He will guide us through a selection of Gusbourne wines, including one of their rarest cuvées, typically reserved for truly special occasions, the exceptional 2015 Gusbourne Brut Reserve Late Disgorged.This will be followed by a specially prepared four-course dinner, thoughtfully matched to the wines. Steve will be on hand throughout the evening to answer any questions.
