Château Beauséjour
The history of Château Beauséjour, jewel of Saint-Emilion, dates back to 1847 when it was bought by the Duffau-Lagarrosse family. Today, the Estate is co-owned and co-run by Joséphine Duffau-Lagarrosse (ninth-generation winemaker) and Prisca Courtin of the Clarins family. Before this, for nine generations, the Duffau-Lagarrosse heirs proudly maintained the vineyard. A legacy that Prisca Courtin strives to continue. Château Beauséjour goes through time, in a spirit of modernity and progress, without giving way to fashions. It is in this spirit that Axel Marchal and Julien Viaud have joined the Château. This jewel of a vineyard of seven hectares, rooted on the hillside, offered to the wind and the sun, enjoys an exceptional location and quality terroir. There, the average age of the vine is between 35 and 40 years old. In the maintenance of the vineyard and the cultivation of the vine, from the size to the harvest, everything is done to obtain the most beautiful grapes.
