Pierre Gosset was Mayor of Ay when, in 1584, he founded his Wine House. Only still wine were made at the time with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grape, known as Vin D'Ay. The Sparkling wine production only started in the 18th Century and was presented in the antique flask still used for the production of Champagne Gosset today. The site is still located in Ay, although they have now a grander establishment in Epernay as well. View our range.

Their Philosophy

They attach great importance to the specific character of each individual terroir and, using their long standing contacts, they blend together the best crus from forty five Grand and Premier Cru villages to great effect. They believe in the old ways, not only is the fruit all harvested by hand, but the ‘remuage’ (turning of the bottles) is all done by hand as well.  The results speak for themselves.
