Luigi Pira was established in the 1950s, with holdings covering the most prestigious sites in Serralunga, namely Margheria, Marenca and Vigna Rionda. The reputation of the estate was established in the early 1990s when Luigi’s son Gianpaolo became involved in the family business and the focus shifted to bottling and releasing under the Luigi Pira name, rather than selling grapes.
