Located in Morey-Saint-Denis, the Magnien family have been Burgundy wine growers for over a century. Frederic, 5th generation, is devoted the Michel Magnien estate, working alongside his father. Having started with just 4 hectares of plots to sell to the négoces, he now owns an 18ha domaine that spreads all across the Côte de Nuits. Frédéric’s vision makes him an outstanding ambassador for Burgundy excellence and approach to terroir. Further to Frédéric’s hard work, the domaine acquired organic certification in 2008 and became entirely biodynamic in 2015. Frédéric has also introduced terracotta jars, which are aromatically neutral, allowing the domaine to craft exempla-ry wines that respect the purity of the fruit and characteristics of its soil in order to refine the identity of each wine.
