Named in honour of the oenologist's grandfather, Avelino, Quinta do Avelino was created. The family's history of winemaking goes back more than a hundred years with the fourth generation now in charge. They own nearly three hectares of vines in Ribeiro planted with Treixadura and Godello, cultivated naturally and hand harvested. Wines are fermented at very low temperature to keep the aromatic concentration at its purest and aged on the lees.
