Ridge Vineyards can be traced back to 1885, when Osea Perrone bought 180 acres near the top of Monte Bello Ridge. The vineyards were abandoned before being replanted in the late1940s. In 1962 the first Monte Bello wine was born. Today known as Ridge, this estate has championed single-vineyard winemaking, searching California for those rare and exceptional vineyards where climate, soil, and variety are ideally matched.
