Our two amazing Bodegas, Miguel Merino & La Marquesa-Valserrano, have excelled last month at the Decanter Panel Tasting – Affordable Excellence Red Rioja.

Miguel Merino deservedly gained a reputation as one of Rioja’s rising stars, since establishing his boutique winery in the mid 1990s. His son Miguel Jr, now holding the reigns, produces fantastic Riojas with a modern twist.
Neighbour Bodegas la Marquesa-Valserrano is a traditional estate in its 5th generation which was recently classified as a ‘Third Growth’ in Tim Atkin MW’s Rioja report, placing them in amongst the top 10% of Rioja producers.

The 2016 reserva from both estates were highly rated at Decanter’s Affordable Excellence Red Rioja Tasting last month.
