Veneto

Lying in north-eastern Italy, this large vine growing district is famous for its popular Prosecco, with the best example being found in sub-region Conegliano Valdobbiadene. Towards the east, near Verona, white grapes Garganega and Trebbiano are widely grown with excellent results produced in Soave and Lugana. Red wines are also produced with Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara grapes responsible for the fresh and zesty wines of Bardolino and aromatics of Valpolicella.
