    Product description

Smith Woodhouse, established in 1784 by Christopher Smith, who later served as Lord Mayor of London, has a rich heritage that was further enhanced when the Woodhouse brothers joined the venture. Today, the firm is proudly owned by the Symington family. Situated in the Upper Douro region, Smith Woodhouse sources its grapes primarily from the esteemed Madalena vineyard, renowned for producing ports of exceptional smoothness and delicacy. Upholding tradition, the grapes are still crushed by foot in stone lagares, preserving the time-honored methods that define their distinctive port.

Indulge in the rich, dark fruit flavors of ripe blackberries and luscious black cherries, seamlessly woven into a velvety, silky texture. As this port matures, the beautifully balanced, ripe tannins deepen its complexity, making it a truly memorable experience to savor.
