  • About the producer

    About the producer: Château Latour

Dating back to the 12th century Château Latour benefited from the trade growth Bordeaux enjoyed in the 19th century and earned its classification as a first growth (the highest one) in 1855. The iconic tower of Chateau Latour was built in the 14th century but vineyards were established later in the 17th century. Located in Pauillac, to the border of St. Julien vineyards of Ch. Léoville Las Cases, the estate covers 78 hectares. In 1993, French industrialist François Pinault bought the Domaine and named Frédéric Engerer as president who undertook a major programme of investment.

Three wines are produced: the Grand Vin ‘Chateau Latour‘, sourced from L’Enclos and Forts de Latour vineyards surrounding the château,  the second wine ‘Les Forts de Latour‘, sourced from a distinct location and finally a third wine ‘Pauillac de Latour‘, produced from young vines.
