    Product description

Gould Campbell’s story began in 1797, thanks to the visionary Garret Gould. Fast forward to 1970, the Symington Family, illustrious Port producers since 1882, added Gould Campbell to their prestigious portfolio. Though the most enigmatic of the Symington’s six brands, Gould Campbell’s reputation as an innovative, family-run business shines through, maintaining its unique charm and character.

Nestled in the renowned Alto Douro region, Gould Campbell’s vineyards yield grapes of remarkable complexity and depth, despite their modest output. The winery, located in picturesque Pinhão, blends tradition and modernity with cutting-edge temperature-controlled fermentation tanks. Yet, a significant portion of their Ports are still crafted using the age-old method of foot-treading grapes in stone tanks, known as lagares, scattered across the quaint quintas of Pinhão.

Their latest offering is one of the best from the line. This exquisite Port boasts a deep purple hue and an enticing bouquet of chocolate, blackberry liqueur, smoke, and delicate white flowers. Richly textured and impeccably balanced, it features moderate sweetness, robust tannins, and an impressive, intense finish.
