    About the producer: Château Angludet

Located at the heart of the prestigious appellation of Margaux in Bordeaux, Ch. Angludet is one of the oldest properties in the Médoc, with a history which goes back to the twelfth century. Vineyards on the current site date back to the early 17th century but the drive towards the high levels of consistency and quality that the estate is known for today was begun in the 1960s, when the Sichel family purchased the estate. Their constant quest for quality is reflected in their policy of drastically limiting the yield of each vine and finding the natural balance of the entire vineyard, in order to get the best expression of this exceptional terroir in every glass. Angludet now competes at the same quality levels as many of the Grands Crus Classés of the appellation and enjoy a worldwide reputation for its elegance, aromatic finesse and exceptional ageing potential.  View our selection.

    Vineyard & Winemaking

The Château Angludet estate covers a total of 81 hectares, 32 of which are planted with vines which are 25 years old on average. The vineyard is planted with 46% Cabernet Sauvignon, 41% Merlot and 13% Petit Verdot. Wines are aged in oak barrels for a period of 12 months. It is unfiltered to keep its phenolic components intact. Just prior to bottling, it is fined using egg white to ensure brilliance.

    Wines Produced

Château Angludet: Wines from the best plots are selected by Benjamin Sichel for their complementary qualities. Only 70% of the volume of the harvest is selected.
La Dame d’Angludet: their second wine offers deliciously seductive aromas set off to their best advantage by its rounded, supple structure. A wine for drinking young, usually between the fourth and tenth year after the harvest.
