The grapes are sourced from Graham’s prime vineyards in the Douro Valley, where conditions are ideal for producing high-quality fruit. Hand-harvested Douro grapes, traditionally foot-trodden in lagares. Fermentation is stopped by fortification with grape spirit to retain natural sweetness. Brief ageing in large oak, then bottled young for long bottle ageing. Concentrated blackcurrant, blackberry and plum, with violet and subtle eucalyptus. Powerful yet balanced, with firm, fine tannins, freshness and a long, layered finish.
