Product description
Duménil is an esteemed independent Champagne House founded in 1874 by Emile-Paul Duménil, and it has remained a family-owned enterprise for five generations. Today, the Domaine is expertly managed by Frédérique, his great-granddaughter, alongside her husband, Hugues Poret-Duménil. All of the Domaine’s vineyards are nestled in the heart of the Montagne de Reims, encompassing Premier Cru sites across four villages: Chigny-les-Roses, Rilly la Montagne, Ludes, and Sacy.
The 2007 vintage presents elevated aromatics of toast, grilled nuts, and yeasty notes, leading to a full-bodied, rich palate harmonized by a refreshing mineral acidity. This multi-layered and weighty Champagne retains an elegance and finesse, a testament to its extended maturation on the yeast lees for over 10 years, enhancing its complexity.
The nose is charming and mature with a buttery, yeasty, meaty Chardonnay style. Filigreed bubbles emerge and unfold onto a lively palate with robust acidity and a long finish. Drinking window 2018-2022
