    Product description

    All grapes are delicately hand-harvested from certified organic vineyards, ensuring both quality and respect for the environment. Vinified using natural yeasts and controlled fermentation temperatures, this wine follows a classic approach, with extended ageing on fine lees to enhance texture and complexity. Brilliant golden yellow with expressive, mineral aromas typical of Schoenenbourg. Opens with bright freshness, followed by ripe fruit on the mid-palate and well-integrated sweetness from ageing. A refined wine with excellent ageing potential.

    About the producer: Jean Becker

    The Becker family’s winemaking legacy dates back to 1610 in Zellenberg (a village opposite Riquewhir), with the estate now in the hands of Jean Becker, the 13th generation. The wines produced are of the highest standard, with vineyard holdings across five Grand Cru areas. Since 1999 production has been certified organic, reinforcing their attention to detail and respect for their unique terroir. The winery came to global attention in 1988 when their Muscat Selection de Grains Noble from Grand Cru Froehn vineyard was picked at a record breaking potential alcohol level of 26 degrees.

    Vineyards & Wine Produced

    Alsatian noble grape varieties (Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris and Muscat) are planted in the estate’s various Grand Cru vineyards located in Froehn, Schlossberg, Sonnenglanz, Praelatenberg and Schoenenberg. They also cultivates Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir, Sylvaner and Chasselas.  They produce wines under Alsace AOC, Alsace Grand Cru alongside some ‘Vendanges Tardives’ (late harvest) and ‘Selection des Grains Nobles’.

    SALE OR RETURN is available by prior arrangement only and for orders of 96 bottles or more. All returns are at the customer’s expense. Returns must be made within 28 days of original delivery and goods must be in a resalable condition. We reserve the right to only refund up to 25% of the original order. For further details please contact customer services 020 8858 6011.

    CANCELLATIONS can be made within seven working days from receipt of delivery, provided that all wines are unopened and in their original condition. To cancel an order customers should contact the Customer Service team on 020 8858 6011 or email orders@davy.co.uk. It is your responsibility to keep the wines safe and in their original condition until collection is made.

    TASTING CANCELLATIONS – full refunds can only be made where at least 7 days’ notice is given prior to the event date. Refunds will only be given after this time if we are able to re-sell your tickets. In the event that a tasting is cancelled, Davy’s shall offer customers a full refund.
