    Product description

    This wine is a 5th Cru Classé. from Pauillac. Perfumed cassis on the nose with earthy undertones and a subtle touch of herbs and smokiness. Medium-bodied with a delightful texture and lingering cedar notes.

    Château Grand-Puy Ducasse vineyard covers 40 hectares which is split into three large plots. The vines are 25 years old on average and lie on sandy Garonne gravel terroirs.

    Optical sorting system. Vinification was carried out in stainless steel temperature-controlled tanks. For some of the batches, malolactic fermentation was carried out in new barrels. 40% of the barrels used for this wine were new.

    Located next to Ch Lafite et Ch Pontet-Canet in Pauillac, Château Grand-Puy Ducasse was classified as a Fifth Growth classification in 1855. The estate used to be part of a larger Domaine in the Middle Ages, which also included Grand-Puy-Lacoste. Today, the Borie family owns and operates the winery which has been recognized for its commitment to sustainability and has received numerous awards and accolades over the years. The vineyards span 40 hectares and are primarily planted with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes. A grand vin and a second wine, Prelude, are produced.

    SALE OR RETURN is available by prior arrangement only and for orders of 96 bottles or more. All returns are at the customer’s expense. Returns must be made within 28 days of original delivery and goods must be in a resalable condition. We reserve the right to only refund up to 25% of the original order.     CANCELLATIONS can be made within seven working days from receipt of delivery, provided that all wines are unopened and in their original condition. To cancel an order customers should contact the Customer Service team on 020 8858 6011 or email orders@davy.co.uk. It is your responsibility to keep the wines safe and in their original condition until collection is made.

    TASTING CANCELLATIONS – full refunds can only be made where at least 7 days’ notice is given prior to the event date. Refunds will only be given after this time if we are able to re-sell your tickets. In the event that a tasting is cancelled, Davy’s shall offer customers a full refund.
