Located in Montà d’Alba, in the chalky Roero hills of Piedmont, the Pelassa family owns 16 hectares of vineyards focused on thegrapes best suited to the land: Nebbiolo, Barbera, and Arneis. The present winery was created in 1960 by the late Mario Pelassa, who had been in the wine business for over 50 years. Today, his sons, Davide and Daniele, run the estate. They adhere largely to traditional methods of vinification, but have also integrated modern winemaking techniques.
Complex nose with fresh crushed berries, violet and herbal notes. Velvety and rich on the palate with firm tannin and great length. A powerful wine.
