The 2017 Léoville-Barton is a a deep, inky-hued powerhouse that epitomizes the estate’s classic style. On the nose, an abundance of black and blue fruits intertwine with delicate violets, oak, and a robust minerality, all of which leap from the glass with impressive intensity. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, boasting concentrated flavors and a firmly structured profile that hints at its remarkable aging potential. With outstanding purity and seamlessly integrated acidity, this wine will reward patience—best to set aside for 5-6 years, after which it will continue to evolve and delight over the next two decades. The 2017 blend is composed of 93% Cabernet Sauvignon and 7% Merlot, harvested between September 15th and 29th, and aged in 60% new French oak barrels.
