    Product description

The Éminence cuvée is sourced from two distinct terroirs: the micaschist soils of “La Viallière” and the granite terraces of “Bassenon” in the northern Rhône’s Côte-Rôtie. The grapes are 100% destemmed and undergo a long maceration period of three weeks in temperature-controlled concrete tanks. Fermentation is initiated with natural yeasts. The wine is aged for 16 months in French oak barrels, 20% of which are new.

Expressive bouquet of blackcurrant, blackberry, violet, and white pepper. On the palate, it is harmonious and fleshy, with a silky texture and fine tannins. The wine offers a deep and persistent finish.

  • About the producer

About the producer: Domaine Rémi Niero

Domaine Rémi Niero is a small family owned estate. It all started when Robert, Rémi’s father, took over the estate in 1986 on the death of his father-in-law, Jean Pinchon. Over time, Robert increased the estate size, acquiring parcels in both prestigious Condrieu and Côte Rôtie’s appellations. Today his son Rémi is charge of the estate and grows local grapes, Viognier and Syrah, on the typical steep and terraced hillsides of Northern Rhone valley. The wines produced are traditional with great concentration of flavours.

    Vineyards

The estate spreads over 5 hectares in both Condrieu (3 ha) and Côte Rôtie (2 ha) and is planted respectively with Viognier and Syrah.

    Wines Produced

Three cuvées of Condrieu Chéry, Hermitage and Les Ravines – and two Côte-RôtieEminence and Vires de Serines – are made at the domaine alongside some Vin de Pays.
