Product description
Located in Montà d’Alba, in the chalky Roero hills of Piedmont, the Pelassa family owns 16 hectares of vineyards focused on the grapes best suited to the land: Nebbiolo, Barbera, and Arneis. The present winery was created in 1960 by the late Mario Pelassa, who had been in the wine business for over 50 years. Today, his sons, Davide and Daniele, run the estate. They adhere largely to
traditional methods of vinification, but have also integrated modern winemaking techniques.
Velvety tannins, beautifully softened and elegant, Barolo San Lorenzo expresses all the refinement typical of the wines of the Verduno area, with hints of spice and rose petals. It is rich on the palate but extremely refined with an excellent capacity for ageing if stored carefully.
