Product description
Grapes from Mount Brown Rd and Weka Gravels vineyards from Waipara, North Canterbury. Predominantly Davis and Dijon clones. The vines are grafted onto Schwarzmann rootstock, known for its low vigour. Destemmed fruit was cold soaked in open-top fermenters and hand plunged three times daily. Post-fermentation, the wine spent up to 20 days on skins before gentle pressing into French oak barriques. A rich Pinot Noir, with ripe flavours of plum and cherries, interlaced with hints of black pepper spice and complex forest floor aromas. The palate is round and generous with melted tannins.
