Product description
The vineyards span 66 hectares in Margaux, planted on deep gravel soils with clay and sand subsoils. The vines average 35 years of age and are cultivated with sustainable practices, including rigorous canopy management, green harvesting, and hand-picking. Grapes are sorted meticulously before fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel and concrete vats. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation, followed by 18 months of ageing in 60% new French oak barrels. Complex nose of blackcurrant, ripe plum, and blueberry, with notes of violet, graphite, cedar, and hints of dark chocolate. The palate is powerful yet refined, with silky tannins, vibrant acidity, and layers of tobacco, and earthy minerality.
