Product description
The vineyards, located in “Viallière,” “Champon,” and “Le Plomb” in northern Côte-Rôtie, feature south-east facing slopes with ferrous mica schist soils. Vines, mainly old Sérine Syrah and some Viognier, are organically farmed with minimal interventions.
Grapes are hand-harvested, selected, and fermented with natural yeasts. The wine undergoes gentle extraction through punching down and pumping over. Aged for 2 years in 228L oak barrels (15% new French oak), with no fining or filtration.
Aromas of blackberries, dark cherries, and smoky bacon. The palate is rich with fine tannins, black pepper, violet, and olive tapenade, balanced by mineral depth. Elegant and structured with a long finish.
