Product description
Handpicked in small cases, Vitola Reserva is from 1970s vines on a Northwest-facing slope. Altitude and sun exposure create a subtle, deep, balanced reserve. Planted in less fertile hills in Briones, away from the River Ebro. Fermented at 28ºC in small stainless-steel vats. Daily pump-overs. Spontaneous malolactic fermentation followed immediately. Aged two years in 29 barrels of French and American oak (30% new). Racked every six months, regular toppings every two months. Ripe red and black fruit aromas with cloves, black pepper and spice. Tobacco, liquorice and coffee on the palate. Fresh, intense, long and well-balanced.
