Product description
Post Scriptum is the ‘second wine’ made by Bruno Prats (of Cos d’Estournel) with the Symington family, owners of Graham’s Port. The wine is made at Quinta de Roriz from a second picking after fruit for the first wine ‘Chryseia’ has been harvested (hence the name…the wine is literally a ‘P.S.’ to Chryseia!). The winemaking is surprisingly aimed at elegance and refinement… Jancis Robinson describes Chryseia as ‘the Douro’s Claret’. Destemmed grapes undergo fermentation in stainless steel tanks, followed by malolactic fermentation. Aged for 12 months in French oak (30% new), enhancing structure and subtle oak influence.
Sourced from the schistous terraces of Quinta de Roriz and Quinta da Perdiz in the Douro Valley. Hand-harvested grapes reflect the region’s diverse microclimates and altitudes.
Aromas of dark berries, plum, and floral notes with a touch of spice and cedar. The palate is refined yet concentrated, with velvety tannins, bright acidity, and a long, balanced finish.
