    A beguiling nose of incense and exotic spices. Barbecue smoke and black pepper on the palate, with smooth tannins and supporting acidity. Freddy Bulmer: Lovely clarity and purity of fruit on the nose. The palate is juicy and vibrant, driven by blackcurrant and redcurrant flavours with bright, fresh acidity and a hint of minerality. An elegant wine. Roger Jones: There is quite an exotic, Turkish feel to this, with dark fruit, figs and sultanas. It’s a complex, layered wine with amazing lingering flavours.

    About the producer: Stonyridge Vineyard

    Stonyridge Vineyard is the ongoing dream of owner Stephen White. In 1981 Stephen returned to New Zealand after sailing a Whitbread Round the World Yacht Race, skippering yachts in the Mediterranean and Caribbean, and working at wineries in France, California and Italy. It was during this 3-year adventure that Stephen came to love the culture and lifestyle of the Mediterranean and the great red wines of France, Tuscany and California. After extensive climatic research, Stephen identified what is now Stonyridge on Waiheke Island in New Zealand as the ideal north-facing site to ripen and produce world-class Bordeaux-style wines.     Returns

    SALE OR RETURN is available by prior arrangement only and for orders of 96 bottles or more. All returns are at the customer’s expense. Returns must be made within 28 days of original delivery and goods must be in a resalable condition. We reserve the right to only refund up to 25% of the original order. For further details please contact customer services 020 8858 6011.

    CANCELLATIONS can be made within seven working days from receipt of delivery, provided that all wines are unopened and in their original condition. To cancel an order customers should contact the Customer Service team on 020 8858 6011 or email orders@davy.co.uk. It is your responsibility to keep the wines safe and in their original condition until collection is made.

    TASTING CANCELLATIONS – full refunds can only be made where at least 7 days’ notice is given prior to the event date. Refunds will only be given after this time if we are able to re-sell your tickets. In the event that a tasting is cancelled, Davy’s shall offer customers a full refund.
