Product description
Vigna del Pino is a single vineyard (Cru) with a north-east exposure, where a special clone of Sangiovese (T12) is cultivated using the Guyot method in clay soil at an altitude of 280 meters above sea level. The vineyard was planted in 2002. Fermentation in stainless steel for 12 days, followed by a lengthy 40 days of maceration with the skins. It ages for 20-22 months in 15-25 HL Slavonian oak barrels and is then bottle-aged for a minimum of 12 months. Complex bouquet of ripe black cherry, plum, and warm spices, with hints of cinnamon and cloves. On the palate, full-bodied and well-structured, with velvety tannins. Long, elegant finish.
