Product description
Since 2001, the Marchesseau brothers, Bertrand and Vincent, have been managing their family Domaine. The estate has holdings in three appellations: Bourgueil, Chinon, and St Nicolas de Bourgueil. The brothers are dedicated to organic farming and are constantly making improvements in both the vineyard and the winery to maintain the quality of their wines. Although all production is dedicated to a single grape variety, Cabernet Franc, the Domaine produces different cuvées that reflect the terroirs of each of the three appellations. Hand-harvested. Whole cluster pressing and direct barrel fermentation for 3 months. Bottled the following year after 9 months of ageing. Aromas of honey, pear, and grapefruit with vanilla and toasty notes. The palate unveils rich and complex aromatic flavours of ripe green apples and nectarine.
