    Product description

Grapes sourced from one of the finest premier cru vineyards in Puligny-Montrachet. The vines are grown on calcareous soils, with excellent drainage. The vineyard is managed sustainably with minimal intervention.

The grapes are hand-harvested and carefully sorted. Fermentation in a mix of stainless steel and oak barrels, with a portion of the wine undergoing malolactic fermentation. Aged for 12-15 months in French oak barrels (around 20-25% new). Delicate aromas of white flowers, citrus zest, and subtle notes of toasted almonds. On the palate, it offers a harmonious balance of crisp acidity and round, creamy texture, with flavours of ripe orchard fruits and a touch of minerality.

  • About the producer

About the producer: Jean Louis Chavy

Based in Puligny Montrachet for over 200 years, the Domaine Chavy started to bottle his wines on the estate in 1986. When Gerard Chavy retired, his two sons Jean Louis and Alain took over the estate and later decided to split it, with Jean Louis creating his own estate in 2004. Being both owner and winemaker, Jean Louis Chavy produces white Burgundies that show great purity of fruit and minerality and age and develop gracefully.

    Vineyard & Winemaking

The 7 hectares of vineyard are planted with Chardonnay with an average of 30 years old vines. Only a restrained amount of oak is being used to age the wines.

    Wines Produced

Only white wines are produced including a Bourgogne Blanc, two Puligny Montrachet Village, and four premier crus; ‘Crus Champs Gain’, ‘Clavoillons’, ‘Folatieres’ and ‘Perrieres’.
