    Complex aromas of ripe pear, white nectarine, citrus zest, and a hint of minerality. Subtle notes of vanilla and toast from oak ageing add depth. The palate is elegant and creamy, showcasing refreshing acidity and flavours of stone fruit.

    Miguel Merino makes this exceptional white from an equal mix of Viura and Garnacha Blanca, both sourced from old-vine parcels in Briones. Gently wooded in 500-litre barrels, it's a wine that’s inspired by white Burgundy, with struck match reduction, layers of lime, citrus and lanolin, and a persistent finish. 2024-30

    About the producer: Miguel Merino

    Bodega Miguel Merino is one of the smallest cellars of DOC Rioja. It was founded in 1994 by Miguel Merino Snr, who after many years exporting Spanish wines throughout the world, he made his dream of having a small ‘bodega’ to make the best possible wines, come true. Miguel established his winery in Briones, one of the most beautiful villages in Rioja and most importantly one of the few areas in Rioja Alta that kept old vineyards. All of the bodega’s vineyards are from the surrounding area, spread across no less than 34 parcels of land planted under vine between the end of the 19th century and 2001. The vineyard holdings total almost 13 hectares with just 55,000kgs of grapes harvested on average each year. Traditional and sustainable viticulture practices are followed with no use of herbicides and most of the work carried out by hand. The bodega’s reputation has soared in recent years under the stewardship of Miguel’s son (also Miguel), reinforced by the recent elevation to Rioja First Growth in Tim Atkin’s annual classification.     SALE OR RETURN is available by prior arrangement only and for orders of 96 bottles or more. All returns are at the customer’s expense. Returns must be made within 28 days of original delivery and goods must be in a resalable condition. We reserve the right to only refund up to 25% of the original order. For further details please contact customer services 020 8858 6011.

    CANCELLATIONS can be made within seven working days from receipt of delivery, provided that all wines are unopened and in their original condition. To cancel an order customers should contact the Customer Service team on 020 8858 6011 or email orders@davy.co.uk. It is your responsibility to keep the wines safe and in their original condition until collection is made.

    TASTING CANCELLATIONS – full refunds can only be made where at least 7 days’ notice is given prior to the event date. Refunds will only be given after this time if we are able to re-sell your tickets. In the event that a tasting is cancelled, Davy’s shall offer customers a full refund.
