Product description
Grapes are sourced from 28-year-old vines in Castellina in Chianti, at 250–280 metres above sea level. The vineyards are trained using the Guyot system. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel for 12 days, followed by additional maceration on the skins for 15 days. The wine is then aged for 10 months in large Slovenian, Tuscan, and French oak barrels, with a further 6 months of ageing in the bottle. Nice complexity on the nose with aromas of raspberry and cherry alongside spicy and violet notes. Medium to full-bodied with soft tannins and a ripe and fresh finish.
