    Product description

    Chardonnay Clone 95, grown in the Waitaki vineyard, where alluvial soils layered with limestone contribute to the wine’s distinctive chalky texture and taut, mineral-driven profile. Hand-harvested, whole-bunch pressed, and lightly settled before fermentation in French oak barriques with indigenous yeasts. Aged on full lees for 11 months with occasional stirring to enhance complexity and texture. Fresh and aromatic, with lifted notes of tropical fruit, citrus, and white flowers. The palate is chalky and poised, showing bright acidity, toasted hazelnut, and subtle oak.

    Te Kano, the Maori word for The Seed, is a family-owned wine estate in Central Otago primarily producing artisanal Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris. The Lloyd family are passionate about the land and committed to its rejuvenation to remind us that the seeds we plant today will blossom for generations to come. Following organic practices, they produce wines that reflect their terroir and express the characteristics of the distinct sub-regions of Central Otago.

    SALE OR RETURN is available by prior arrangement only and for orders of 96 bottles or more. All returns are at the customer’s expense. Returns must be made within 28 days of original delivery and goods must be in a resalable condition. We reserve the right to only refund up to 25% of the original order. For further details please contact customer services 020 8858 6011.

    CANCELLATIONS can be made within seven working days from receipt of delivery, provided that all wines are unopened and in their original condition. To cancel an order customers should contact the Customer Service team on 020 8858 6011 or email orders@davy.co.uk. It is your responsibility to keep the wines safe and in their original condition until collection is made.

    TASTING CANCELLATIONS – full refunds can only be made where at least 7 days’ notice is given prior to the event date. Refunds will only be given after this time if we are able to re-sell your tickets. In the event that a tasting is cancelled, Davy’s shall offer customers a full refund.
