Product description
Old-vine Gamay (50+ years) is hand-harvested from parcelled plots on the Côte du Py, where blue volcanic rock and manganese-rich soils contribute intensity and minerality. Fermentation lasts 15 days with 50% whole bunches in concrete tanks. The wine is then aged for eight months: 80% in concrete, 20% in oak barrels. From Morgon’s most prestigious vineyard, Côte du Py, this wine shows deep blackberry and dark cherry fruit, lifted by violet and subtle spice. Firm yet polished tannins and a mineral core reflect the cru’s volcanic soils and ageing potential.
