Product description
Château Daugay, situated at the foot of Saint-Émilion, derives its name from the local “geai,” or jay birds, found in the area. Acquired by Christian de Boüard after World War II, the estate separated from Château Angélus in 1985. Today, it is managed by his daughter, Hélène, who upholds the estate’s traditional winemaking practices.
The Piaf by Château Daugay – Red – 2023 is a 100% Merlot, single-vineyard cuvée created by Thierry Grenier de Boüard. This cuvée aims to offer a highly approachable wine with fresh, fruity notes, and production is limited to just 1,800 bottles. The first vintage, produced in 2020, is aged for 8 months in stainless steel vats without fining.
