Product description
The vineyard is located in the town of Gratallops, classified as Vi de Vila (a sub-zone of Priorat DOQ). Vines planted in 1910 yield very low yields. Grapes are hand-harvested. Fermented in Stockinger Austrian oak foudres of 2,500l with indigenous yeast and ripe stems (10%). Grenache ages in 870l Austrian oak foudres, and Carignan in 300l French oak barrels, new and second year, for 10 months. Limited production of 4,666 bottles Complex, refined notes of dark fruits, wild berries, cassis, pencil shavings, dark chocolate, wet stones, forest floor with a cedarwood undertone. Intense, powerful yet elegant, fresh and precise. Lingering finish with great potential to age further.
