Product description
La Loma (1.4 hectares) was planted in 1946 in the southwest of Briones, at an altitude of 534 metres above sea level. It features bush vines planted on an east-facing slope. Hand-harvested in small crates with meticulous sorting. The grapes undergo cold maceration for three days before fermentation, which occurs in a small stainless steel tank at a controlled temperature. The wine is transferred to four 500l French oak barrels for ageing for 12 months. Very limited production. A complex Rioja crafted from old vines offering an intense bouquet of dark berry aromas, hints of leather and tobacco. The palate is velvety, with ripe plum, black cherry, and subtle oak spices with a refined, elegant finish.
