Giovanni Gaja founded the estate in the 1960s and acquired some fo the best parcels located in Sorì San Lorenzo, Sorì Tildìn and Costa Russi. Today his daughter Gaia and his son Angelo are running the estate. Angelo is a pionner in the region as he introduced non-indigenous grapes in its vineyards and includes Barbera grapes in Barolos and Barbarescos.
Made with Sauvignon Blanc, this is an elegant and perfume wine with aromatic notes of citrus fruits and mineral character. Full bodied yet delicate and well balaced by a perfectly integrated acidity.
A sauvignon blanc with sliced-apple, pear and lime aromas and flavors. Full and racy. Lots of subtle grapefruit, mineral and lime character. White roses, too. Beatuiful length. The class and length of a top white Bordeaux. Gaja says the wine fermented a very long time. No malo. Natural yeast. Best Alteni de Brassica.
