    Product description

Having a modern and minimalistic approach, this small negociant carefully sources some of the best grapes in Sussex to produce top notch artisan wines.

Bacchus is a cross between Riesling, Silvaner and Müller-Thurgau.  The grape is well adapted to the English climate and is often compared to Sauvignon Blanc. Crisp and refreshing with aromas of green mango, passion fruit and ginger. Crisp, lively acidity with a delicious spiciness on the finish.

  • About the producer

About the producer: Hoffmann & Rathbone

Hoffman & Rathbone’s approach to winemaking is modern but minimalistic. Located in Sussex, this small winery focuses on making excellent sparkling wine with delicate flavours and complexity. Winemaker Ulrich Hoffmann has gained his expertise while working at various wineries across the world including Château de Fieuzal in Bordeaux. He produces very small quantities of premium wine, using traditional methods and long cellar ageing. Wines are only produced from the ripest grapes when the climatic conditions are optimum, so the quality is guaranteed. View our selection.
