Product description
One of the smallest of all Madeira producers, and only founded in 1946, Barbeito have led the charge in modernising Madeira through winemaker Ricardo Diogo de Freitas’ Special Releases and Single Cask Bottlings, which have an extraordinary reputation.
Aged in French oak casks for over 5 years by the Canteiro method. Medium sweet in character with aromas of dried fruit, floral
and yellow fruit jam. Fresh and tangy on the palate with a slightly smoked finnish. Delightful on its own, but partners very well with semi-sweet dishes (such as poached figs, ginger cake) and cheeses.
