Owned by only four producers, San Lorenzo is a small vineyard at about 250 meters altitude with an average of 20 years old vines. Nebbiolo grown here develops delicate notes of flowers. Aromas of violets, red berries and cloves. Powerful yet delicate with sweet tannins, complex flavours and an amazing length. Received 94ts from Robert Parker & 91pts from James Suckling.
Lots of roses and toffee with dried strawberries and hints of sandalwood. Medium bodied, integrated and fresh. A little short at the end, but delicious to drink now. Enjoy.- 92 pts James Suckling, jamessuckling.com
