A classic full bodied Champagne with wonderful balance, fresh fruit character and toasted brioche. The purest expression of Bollinger style. Sourced from 30 different Crus in Champagne, it is mainly made with Pinot Noir.
French sparkling white wine from Champagne France made with Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier.
Bollinger was established in 1829 and spreads over 165 hectares. This fine Grande Marque house uses a high proportion of its own grapes in their blends, 85% of which are from Grand Cru or Premier Cru vineyards. Pinot Noir is the predominant variety, but this is cleverly teamed with Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier to produce their famous, opulent Champagne style. View our range.
Their selection includes Special Cuvée Brut White & Rosé, Grande Année, Grande Année Rosé and their prestigious Bollinger R.D. and Vielles Vignes Francaise. They also produce a red wine named “La côte aux enfants” from grapes grown in the village of Ay.
Bollinger’s best crus are vinified in wood tanks via no less than 3500 small, aged casks. The House also lets its wines mature for twice as long as the appellation requirement so its Champagne has time to develop its full character. Wherever ancestral techniques have proved to guarantee the highest quality, they are preserved. Therefore hand riddling, reserve magnums and vintage cuvées stoppered with natural corks are still used by the house. As a result Bollinger is the first Champagne House to obtain the highly respected Patrimoine Vivant (living heritage) seal of quality which recompenses exceptional craftsmanship and skill.
