In Bond case of Blanco, Miguel Merino 2016.
Miguel Merino runs one of the smallest, youngest and most exciting wineries in Rioja. This Rioja Blanco blend comes from two very special vineyards: the Viura grape is from the Mingortiz vineyard (planted in 1977) giving the blend fresh minerality, and a few vines of Garnacha Blanca from the La Loma vineyard (planted in 1946) bring complexity and body.
“Aged on its lees for 10 months. Intense aromas of citrus, pear, stone fruits and notes of brioche. Viura grapes from Mingortiz vineyard provides acidity and minerality, while white Garnacha from La Loma adds complexity, body and depth to the wine.” DWM, June 2018.
