    Product description

Rated as one of the ‘four star’ producers in Beaujolais by Robert Parker, Jean Paul Brun aims to produce old fashioned Gamay. Using indigenous yeasts and traditional winemaking techniques from Burgundy, his artisanal wines have structure and character.

Sourced from three small, sun-drenched parcels of 25 years old vines planted in Beaujolais where Pinot Noir is permitted and matured in old and large oak barrels. Light to medium-bodied with savoury notes and good acidity.

  • About the producer

About the producer: Domaine Terres Dorées

Located in Charnay, north of Lyon, Domaine Terres Dorees has attracted the attention of the French and American press and, was recently rated as one of the ‘four star’ producers in Beaujolais by Robert Parker. Jean Paul Brun, owner and winemaker, aims to produce old fashioned Beaujolais style. Using traditional winemaking techniques from Burgundy, where no semi carbonic maceration takes place but instead destemming of the grapes and long maceration with pigeage, his artisanal wines have structure and character and reflect their terroir but also his sensibility. His belief is that the Gamay grape expresses itself best at a lower degree of alcohol and by using grape’s indigenous yeasts. View our selection.
