This estate has been owned by the Desfontaine family for more than 100 years. Each climat (vineyard) is vinified and bottled separately to create a subtle diversity of style.

Aromas of crisp apples, clementine and pithy citrus peel – wonderful texture and energy here with a pleasing saline and mineral finish.

  • About the producer

About the producer: Château de Chamilly

Located in the heart of the Côte Chalonnaise, Château de Chamilly was founded in the 17th century by the Marquis de Chamilly. Since the 19th century it has been owned by the Desfontaine family and today Xavier, Arnaud and Veronique run the estate. They vinify and bottle each climat (vineyard) separately because each of those climat have a different exposition and/or soil composition which create a subtle diversity of style. Their aim is to express those differences. All reds, and some whites, are aged for 12 months in French oak, followed by 6 months in tank before bottling. They produce fine and elegant Pinot Noir alongside Chardonnays with great minerality. View our selection.
