The vineyards are carefully managed with practices such as double thinning of bunches to concentrate flavours and ensure the ripeness of the grapes. Rigorous sorting takes place in the cellar. Extraction in the early stages of fermentation, followed by long maceration on the skins. Fermented at warm temperature of 33°C, then racking. Aged for 36 months in oak barrels from Slavonia followed by bottle ageing for 12 months. Complex aromas of cherry and blackcurrant with earthy and spicy notes and hints of leather and tobacco. Powerful yet refined with smooth tannins well-balanced with a lively acidity.
