    Product description

    The vineyards are carefully managed with practices such as double thinning of bunches to concentrate flavours and ensure the ripeness of the grapes. Rigorous sorting takes place in the cellar. Extraction in the early stages of fermentation, followed by long maceration on the skins. Fermented at warm temperature of 33°C, then racking. Aged for 36 months in oak barrels from Slavonia followed by bottle ageing for 12 months. Complex aromas of cherry and blackcurrant with earthy and spicy notes and hints of leather and tobacco. Powerful yet refined with smooth tannins well-balanced with a lively acidity.

    A delicate, lightly spicy style: smoky red berry and wild strawberry fruit, fine tannins and a persistent, perfumed finish. The wine opens up in the glass

    About the producer: La Togota

    Owned by the Angel family, with only women running the estate, La Togata is a small winery with vineyards located at various altitude in the south of Montalcino (Lavacchio, Montosoli and Pietrafocai). Very strict vineyard management with only manual pruning taking place alongside a temperature-controlled cellar carved in stones allow them to create classic Sangiovese style. Opulent and rich yet refined, complex and precise. Very Impressive!

    SALE OR RETURN is available by prior arrangement only and for orders of 96 bottles or more. All returns are at the customer’s expense. Returns must be made within 28 days of original delivery and goods must be in a resalable condition. We reserve the right to only refund up to 25% of the original order. For further details please contact customer services 020 8858 6011.

    CANCELLATIONS can be made within seven working days from receipt of delivery, provided that all wines are unopened and in their original condition. To cancel an order customers should contact the Customer Service team on 020 8858 6011 or email orders@davy.co.uk. It is your responsibility to keep the wines safe and in their original condition until collection is made.

    TASTING CANCELLATIONS – full refunds can only be made where at least 7 days’ notice is given prior to the event date. Refunds will only be given after this time if we are able to re-sell your tickets. In the event that a tasting is cancelled, Davy’s shall offer customers a full refund.
