Product description
En Primeur Carillon d’Angélus, Château Angélus will be available for delivery or storage once it lands in the UK, usually two years following the en primeur offer.
The vineyard of Château Angélus is situated in a natural amphitheatre overlooked by the three Saint-Emilion churches. In the middle of this special site, the sounds were amplified and the angelus bells could be heard ringing in the morning, at midday and in the evening. They cadenced the working day in the vineyards and villages, calling the men and women to stop their labours for a few minutes and pray.
Carillon d’Angélus was first released in the 1987 vintage. Over the years it has acquired its very own identity. Reflecting high, rigorous standards of makers, the wine is a variable blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon selected from different Saint-Emilion terroirs. The vinification and ageing techniques are adapted with precision to the wine’s particular style. It is highly appreciated for the purity of fruit aromas, velvety tannins and elegant finish.
En Primeur pricing is per case as specified and excludes UK duty and VAT, which will be charged at the prevailing rate when the wine is released from bond for delivery. Bonded storage is available. Onward delivery or transfer is not included and can be quoted for on request. Free delivery on orders over £100 does not apply to bonded or en primeur wines.
